The sunny southern town of Playa Blanca will present its first ever obstacle race on May 7th titled “Wildrace Ninja Track” which will take place on Playa Dorada.

Playa Blanca’s first ever obstacle course race is coming this May. On the 7th a maximum of 64 teams are expected to participate in the challenging race.

Mayor of Yaiza, Oscar Noda, emphasised the Yaiza Ayuntamiento’s commitment to promoting the southern municipality as the premier sporting destination, “This also promotes tourism as well as sport, as with IRONMAN 70.3 and the Lanzarote Handbike race, we position ourselves at the epicentre of sports tourism. An area that we must protect.”

Sports Councilor, Angel Lago, explained that the Wildrace Ninja Track will be done in pairs on the beach, making it different from the rest and marking its own style. Lago stated it’s importance “we position ourselves as the ideal destination for sports, due to the landscape, security and services.”
