The Yaiza Ayuntamiento have installed handrails on sets of stairs in Playa Blanca.

Mayor of Yaiza, Óscar Noda, stated “our object is to minimise the risk of falling on the stairs in the municipality, by installing stainless steel handrails and ramps.”.
The Councillor responsible for the maintenance of buildings and public spaces, Rubén Arca, explained “apart from lowering the sidewalks on pedestrian crossings, we’ve also installed important safety features on stairs and ramps.”.
Noda added, “We have major works underway, but we cannot fail to attend other important projects that ensure the well-being of our residents. We have the will, the projects and the economic resources to execute the plans.”.
