The new ticket offices for Fred Olsen, Lineas Romero, Armas and hire car company Cicar are now open inside Playa Blanca’s port passenger terminal.
The opening of the new ticket offices means that the old ticket offices are now closed, and passengers will have to enter the port passenger terminal to book their ferry trips.
Mayor of Yaiza, Óscar Noda, visited the official opening of the passenger terminal to reiterate to Puertos Canarios the municipal demand to accelerate the steps to allow the docking of medium and boutique type cruise ships in the newly extended port.
Regarding the opening of the offices, the mayor thanked “the attention of Puertos Canarios and its director to take a new step in the implementation of the various services that allow to make the most of the full potential of the port, and therefore I have also insisted on the berthing of cruise ships based on the analysis of competitiveness and evaluation of the economic impact caused in destination cruise tourism that I also requested in October and that I know Puertos Canarios has started”.
