Last weekend, dozens of passers-by were brought together to watch a live performance from the band Tagoror in the centre of Playa Blanca.

Up to 85 nationalities coexist in the sunny southern municipality of Yaiza, an enriching mix of cultures that can be enjoyed together through art. Last weekend, the town of Playa Blanca were treated to a street concert by the band Tagoror.

Tagoror themselves are made up of artists from Lanzarote, Madrid, Seville, Italy, Cuba and Colombia.

The performance was organised by the Yaiza Ayuntamiento’s Culture Department and saw the musicians guide the audience through a musical journey of jazz, funk, soul, afro, Cuban and Latin.

The Ayuntamiento’s Culture Councillor, Daniel Medina, stated that “the Ayuntamiento has maintained the development of cultural, educational, sporting and leisure activities throughout the summer. The offer for September is also full of interesting proposals for residents of all ages.”.

We’ll keep you updated on upcoming events in the municipality this coming September.
