Playa Blanca carnival parade today

One of the last carnival processions of the season will take place today in Playa Blanca.

La Graciosa also celebrates it’s carnival parade today. However, Playa Blanca’s carnival parade is the largest of the two and begins at 6 pm near the new Aldi supermarket and heads back along the Femes Avenida to the roundabout near the bus station.  The parade will then turn left down Calle Jaime Quesada to the Avenida de Papagayo, and will terminate at the Plaza de Nuestra Señora de Carmen, where there’ll be a carnival ball.

There’ll be another daytime dance on Sunday in the Plaza from 12.30 onwards, and the evening will see the last event of Playa Blanca’s carnival – the Drag Queen Gala, with weird and wonderful drags miming in the Plaza.
