Playa Blanca is likely to have an Aldi supermarket, located on the Femes road, by January next year.
Visiting the site on Monday, Mayor Óscar Noda said “Aldi has told us that they’d like to open before the end of the year, but the more realistic forecast is for January. In any case, it’s good news for market competition in Playa Blanca.”
The supermarket will have 1,200 square metres of sales space, with parking for 102 vehicles.
Noda also confirmed that Lidl would open its Playa Blanca store in the industrial zone in November.
