The beach that sits at the heart of Playa Blanca’s seafront has had its blue flag award renewed, distinguishing it as a clean and exemplary beach for holiday-makers and residents.
The Mayor of Yaiza, Óscar Noda, helped raise the flag this Wednesday along with Yaiza Beaches Councillor, Fátima Viñoly. They value “the investment in accessibility and services of our emblematic town beach, a welcoming beach to sunbathe and enjoy the great weather.”.
Last year the Yaiza Ayuntamiento installed a new lifeguard tower, accessibility ramps and railings as well as showers, footbaths and public toilets within a short distance from the beach.
