Petrol and diesel prices have recently risen sharply all over the Canaries as a result of uncertainty due to the US/Israel war on Iran.

On Lanzarote, the average price of a litre of Gasolina 95 was €1.26 at the end of last week, the highest level since the summer of 2024. Prices have continued to rise over the last few days, although the islands are still far from the highs of 2022, when petrol prices reached all-time records after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

The rising prices mean considerable extra expense for business and professional drivers, and many are seeking the cheapest fuel on the island. Currently, this can be found at the two low-cost Plenergy stations in Arrecife, while the PCan garage in Tías and the Disa station in Mácher are also consistently at the top of the lists.

Price comparison sites such as geoportalgasolineras.com/isla/lanzarote regularly update prices on the island’s petrol stations.
