Arrecife Ayuntamiento will re-open the island’s only animal crematorium after eight months of closure.
The Hela crematorium, operated by the Reguimir company, was closed down by the Ayuntamiento eight months ago for not complying with technical requirements demanded by the Ayuntamiento.
However, Reguimir issued a lawsuit for perversion of justice against two councillors and a council employee, claiming that they had caused deliberate damage to the business.
Yesterday, the Ayuntamiento lifted the closure of the crematorium which, according to its owner, will re-open today “if all goes well”.
