Yaiza Ayuntamiento has launched a new awareness campaign regarding the care of parks and sports facilities in the municipality.
The new public awareness campaign aims to promote proper use of parks, children’s play areas, public exercise machines, sports fields, and facilities. The mayor of Yaiza, Óscar Noda, stated “these leisure and recreational spaces are also spaces for coexistence and integration that everyone should take care of.”
Posters have been installed at various parks and sports facilities in Playa Blanca.
Yaiza’s Maintenance Councillor, Rubén Arca, expressed that “As an administration we, of course, have the responsibility for their (public spaces and sports facilities) cleanliness and maintenance, but we call for citizen responsibility because if they are to be used by the public, we must all respond with respectful behaviour.”
In closing Noda added that “we want to offer more and better spaces where our children, young people and adults can interact, where they can meet and have fun in a health environment that promotes community life.”
