Over 300,000 cruise passengers arrive in Arrecife

Arrecife’s port has received over 300,000 cruise passengers in the first seven months of 2024, 15% more than in 2023.

Arrecife has received a total of 301,273 cruise passengers so far in 2024, 15% more than the same period in 2023 where the capital received 260,964 passengers.

Numbers of cruise passengers disembarking on the capital doubled in June and July compared to 2023, receiving more than 22,500 passengers.

Arrecife Mayor, Yonathan de León, stated that “Arrecife is immersed in a process of transformation of the seafront, with the creation of the new pedestrian promenade next to Playa El Reducto, and the current execution of works in the surroundings of the promenade next to the Playa La Arena (next to the pier of Los Mármoles) that will make the city more comfortable, accessible and attractive to passengers who stay in the city during their hours of stopover in Lanzarote.”.
