The spectacular Yaiza Extremo Sur 2022 races are coming back, further cementing the sunny southern municipality as one of the resorts to be for athletes.
On the 6th and 7th of August Yaiza will turn into the tracks for both the running race and mountain biking race. Athletes will be able to choose the length of the races they would like to participate in for the running (8, 16 and 30km) and the MTB routes (35 and 59km).
In May this year, the Mayor of Yaiza Óscar Noda, along with Yaiza Councilor for Sports, Ángel Lago, added “Yaiza continues to promote sports activities by offering an attractive and varied calendar for athletes, friends, sponsors, and the public. Local businesses have also given us their approval as the events generate attention and sales.”.
This weekend’s race
The mountain-bike race starts this Saturday, August 6th, at 8am for the 58km race and 8:30am for the 35km race. On Sunday, August 7th, the Sunday trail run starts at 8am for 30km, 9am for 16km, and 9:30am for the 8km race.
