The National Police, in collaboration with the Guardia Civil, have dismantled an organisation that provided false documentation for immigrants to travel to mainland Spain.
Seven people have been arrested in connection to an organisation that provided false documentation for immigrants to travel to mainland Spain and other countries – six people from Gran Canaria and one in Ciudad Real in mainland Spain.
According to the National Police, the organisation provided immigrants from Northwest Africa, who had arrived in the Canaries via boat, with false documentation.
The police estimate that the organisation facilitated more than 80 departures from the islands and made over 100,000 euros.
