Lanzarote’s seven councils have suspended all open-air activities today, due to the arrival of storm Olivier.
The Cabildo has also recommended that all residents avoid any type of leisure or sporting activity in open spaces and has advised against unnecessary journeys.
The most intense hours of the storm are expected to be between 6 am and 2pm, and an orange alert for rain and storms is in place for these hours. Up to 30 mm of rain may fall, with a low possibility of heavier downpours.
