The coastal village of Charco del Palo is holding an “Oktoberfest” on Saturday 7th October to celebrate 50 years as a naturist resort.
The Mayor of Haría, Alfredo Villalba, said “We intend to pay tribute to the German citizens who throughout our history have chosen our island as a tourist destination to enjoy vacations,” said the mayor, this Thursday.
The celebration will take place from 12 midday to 10pm, and include concerts, food and other activities.
Villalaba said “More than anywhere, Charco del Palo represents the spirit of freedom, tolerance, and integration that European nations have always had on our island. That’s why it deserves its own fiesta, and one which reflects the distinct nature of the village.”
