Arrecife will install 35 waste bins, accompanied with posters, to encourage dog owners to dispose of their animals’ mess.
900 rolls of plastic bags for the disposal of dog waste were also distributed, in an attempt to increase awareness of the practice.
The posters will remind citizens that fines for dog fouling can range from €15 to €30,000. the first bins were located in the park at Altavista, where Mayor Astrid Pérez urged dog owners to show “civic responsibility.”
