Cabildo Vice President, Jacobo Medina, has stated that the work on Playa Honda’s new urban park is making good progress and is on schedule.

The new park, when completed, will be the largest urban park in the Canary Islands with a plot of almost seven-hectares featuring children’s play areas, pet spots, kiosks, greenery and more.

When visiting the work, Jacobo Medina, stated “This intervention, carried out with European funds, will completely transform the locality, generating a great green lung, as well as a place for recreation and meeting for the neighbours.”

In addition to the recreational activities at the park, it will also feature 54 parking spaces as well as four disabled parking spaces and an area for loading and unloading.

“Undoubtedly, it is one of the most desired projects of the citizens of Playa Honda. Therefore, we will try to speed up the deadlines as much as possible in order to have this space available for everyone as soon as possible,” concluded Jacobo Medina.
