New low-cost petrol station for Arrecife

The Las Palmas Port authority has decided to give the go-ahead to the construction of another low-cost petrol station opposite the national police station in Puerto Naos, Arrecife.

Canarias7 reports that the company which applied for the concession could be given use of the plot for a 20-year period. The announcement is likely to put an end to hopes that the space could be used for an educational establishment.

It will be the fourteenth petrol station in the capital, and one of seven situated within a two-kilometre radius, two of which are the other self-service low-cost establishments.
