A new local police station has been opened in Costa Teguise. It will be located in the Tourist Information Office near the Pueblo Marinero.
Teguise Mayor Olivia Duque has said that the new office will fulfil the council’s commitment to improve security and provide more convenient services for residents and tourists, who will no longer have to travel to the office in the old town of Teguise.
The office will have multilingual staff to deal with reports from the public, and increases the security presence in Costa Teguise, which also has a Guardia Civil station.
National Police matters will still have to be carried out at the Commission in Arrecife.
