Mask rule lifted

The Canarian Health Service yesterday lifted the requirement of masks to be compulsory in health centres and hospitals.

Obligatory mask use was re-introduced after Christmas following a sharp rise in flu and Covid cases. However, figures have now decreased to a level where the health authorities believe that compulsory use is no longer justifiable.

Masks are still recommended, rather than compulsory, in hospital, health centres, consultancies and clinics etc.
