Man injured after explosion on a catamaran in Puerto Calero

A man was injured yesterday after an explosion on a boat in Puerto Calero.

At approximately 5pm yesterday afternoon, the emergency services were alerted to an explosion on a boat in Puerto Calero.

Upon arrival, they found the occupant on the boat that had suffered burns after the explosion and promptly began to assess his injuries.

Fire fighters boarded the boat and detected a strong smell of gas in the engine room of the catamaran. The boat was ventilated until gas levels returned to normal.
