Man arrested after three robberies in Arrecife

The National Police have arrested a 44-year-old man, with an existing record, after committing three robberies at knifepoint in Arrecife.

Complaints were filed by several shopkeepers in Arrecife, alerting the police to the 44-year-old who was reportedly committing robberies at knifepoint in order to steal their daily earnings.

After this an investigation was opened by the National Police and, thanks to information provided by the victims, they were able to identify the 44-year-old who had an existing police record and had already served time in prison for similar offences.

The 44-year-old man was arrested in Arrecife and immediately taken to the police station and is now awaiting the following legal proceedings.
