Tias Ayuntamiento has announced the street lighting on Calle Teide in Puerto del Carmen has been repaired.
The lighting on the street that runs parallel to the the old town’s harbour had been out for several days.
According to the Ayuntamiento, this occurred during the installation of new lighting in the area, when the disconnection of an old cable caused a surge and resulting burn-out in the new streetlights.
Replacement parts had to be ordered from off the island, explaining the delay. Tias Ayuntamiento has apologised for any inconvenience.
