The Tías Ayuntamiento have installed 95 new LED lights along the Avenida de las Playas in Puerto del Carmen, taking another step towards energy efficiency.

The stretch of road between the Beatriz Playa & Spa and Seaside Los Jameos Playa hotel are now lit with low-energy LED lights which not only cut down on energy consumption but also light pollution.
The project cost a total of 368,508 euros and was financed by the Canarian Government’s Tourism Ministry as part of the PACES (Plan for Climate and Energy Sustainable).
Mayor of Tías , José Juan Cruz, highlighted “we have managed to install more than 700 new lights of this type.”
