Last November was Lanzarote’s hottest on record

Last month was the warmest November on Lanzarote since records began. AEMET have described November 2024 as “extremely hot” and indicated that, with an average temperature of 22.7 degrees Celsius, no November has registered such high temperatures on Lanzarote since records began in 1961.

Despite the cooler weather experienced on the island over the last few days, 2024 is also promising to be one of the hottest years the island has ever recorded.

The average temperature on the island until the end of November this year is 22.6 degrees, just a tenth of degree lower than 2023, which was the hottest year of the 21^st century on Lanzarote.

The current cool spell is predicted to continue until the weekend, when south-eastern winds are predicted to bring a rise in temperatures and the possibility of rain on Sunday.
