Lanzarote Wine Run to return

The Lanzarote Wine Run will return in June, the Cabildo has announced.

The event, which celebrated Lanzarote’s wine country with various runs and walks, in an atmosphere that was as social as it was competitive, was first developed by Kenneth Gasque in 2009, before island authorities later took over its running.

In 2020 the event was cancelled due to the Covid pandemic and has not returned since. Now it will take place in June, although a precise date has not yet been announced.

Cabildo councillor Samuel Martín also announced that the Casa de los Arroyo, a splendid colonial building on Arrecife’s seafront, would be renovated and opened to the public
