1.7 million tourists arrived on Lanzarote in the first half of 2024, a 10% increase on the figures for the same period last year.

The statistics suggest that the island will receive well in excess of 3 million visitors by the end of the year.

1.43 million of the arrivals came from foreign airports, with the British providing 56,7% of that total, followed by the Irish (11,9%) and the Germans (10,2%).

The figures arrives as the groups that organised April’s protests against the effects of mass tourism have pledged further action, claiming that absolutely nothing has been done to address their demands.
