Members of the “Lanzarote Loves Tourism” association posted a video to Instagram yesterday showing the group painting over “18M Stop Turismo Masivo” graffiti.

On Instagram the association wrote: “Today we have taken another step to respect our island. From Lanzarote Loves Tourism we have gone out to cover the graffiti in public spaces with the message that does not represent the conejeros who love our land and that are not an example in the way of transmitting their claims. We love Lanzarote and we believe that to defend it is to act but always with a positive message and without destroying what costs so much effort to maintain. It is not just to say it but to demonstrate it with facts.
Our landscape, our identity and our culture, our monuments, deserve respect. Thanks to all the people who have joined us. This is just the beginning. Because yes, Lanzarote has a limit, and also a responsibility. And we will protect it”.
