Lanzarote’s CACTs (Centres of Art, Culture and Tourism) have launched a new passport for children.
The passport is free, and children can fill in their details and ask for the passport to be “stamped” with a different sticker at each of the tourist centres.
The centres involved are the Fire Mountains, Jameos del Agua, Cueva del los Verdes, Mirador del Rio, Casa-Museo del Campesino, Cactus Garden, the MIAC at the Castillo de San José and the Islote de Fermina in Arrecife.
The process will be entirely manual, with no e-Gates or facial scans involved. Children without passports will still be allowed to enter the centres without fear of deportation.
