The average daily price for hotels on the island this April was €145.37, 16.2% higher than last April’s figures of €125.15. Meanwhile, “extra-hotel” accommodation (such as villas, apartments and holiday rentals), saw an average daily price of €86.30, 19.3% higher than last year’s €72.32.
The figures also show that occupation rose slightly by 1%, while the total of tourists fell by over 2%. Despite the decrease in numbers, income increased by 6.8% in hotels and 16% in the extra-hotel sector.
