Lanzarote “highest rated of Canary Islands” by tourists

The head of Promotur, which promotes Canarian tourism, has claimed that Lanzarote is the most appreciated of all seven Canary Islands by visitors

Speaking on Lancelot TV, José Juan Lorenzo said that tourists gave Lanzarote an average rating of 8.9 out of 10, the highest of any of the islands.

Lorenzo expressed optimism for this summer, saying that 10% more flights had been scheduled than last year “which was already extraordinary.”

He also claimed that tourist spending was on the increase, having risen 30% since 2017 with the same number of tourists. “If we look at this year, the number of tourists has risen by 11% while the spending has increased by 17%.”
