Lanzarote’s fire fighters have qualified for the World Rescue Challenge 2024 after coming second place in the National Traffic Accident Rescue Meeting.
Lanzarote’s team, composed of fire fighters Chedey Tanausú Rodríguez Quintero, Rubén Tomás Guerra Rodríguez, Roberto Iván Betancort Corujo, Yoné Echedey Martín Fernández, Acaymo José Rodríguez Quintero and Néstor Crespo Rodríguez showed the excellent work demonstrated in the two days of the meeting, also denoting the level and skill of the local fire service.
In addition to coming second place overall, the Lanzarote team also came first place in the categories of Best Command and Best Technical Team.
The second-place finish has given the Lanzarote team a place in this year’s World Rescue Challenge, which was held on Lanzarote last year and will be held in Azores this November.
