Lanzarote awarded “Best Winter Destination” title

The Irish Travel Association has awarded Lanzarote the title of “Best Winter Destination” for the 19^th time on Thursday.

Lanzarote has received the award every single year for more than a decade, and this time it beat destinations such as Orlando, Dubái, Gran Canaria and Tenerife.

Cabildo President Oswaldo Betancort thanked the ITA, saying “This award clearly shows the faith that Irish holidaymakers have placed in Lanzarote.”

The Irish are easily Lanzarote’s most faithful tourists. Last year, 328,000 Irish visitors arrived on the island – almost one in fifteen of the Irish population.
