Jet2 has announced an increase of 25,000 seats between the UK and Canary Islands next winter.

The announcement comes following continued demand from travellers looking for winter sun. Jet2 will add more than 25,000 seats across five UK airports including Birmingham, Bristol, East Midlands, Manchester, and Newcastle with flights to Lanzarote, Tenerife and Gran Canaria.

The additional flights have been scheduled for February to March 2025 and falls within the February half term school holidays. The 24/25 winter season will see a 15% capacity increase to the Canaries, with over 2 million seats on sale across the UK.

Jet2 CEO, Steve Heapy, stated “The continued appeal of the Canary Islands as a Winter Sun favourite means we are adding even more choice for customers and independent travel agents. As the UK’s leading airline and tour operator to the Canaries, we know just how much holidaymakers love these islands as a means of escaping for some winter sunshine, and we are delighted to be once again stepping in to meet the strong demand. Winter 24/25 will be our biggest ever winter sun programme to the Canary Islands and our unrivalled programme is proving to be incredibly popular with customers and independent travel agents.”
