FlyDirect has announced it will launch a route from Jersey to Lanzarote later this year, after a successful series of flights to Tenerife over the previous winter season.
Jersey Airport will soon have direct flights to Lanzarote as FlyDirect confirm that they are launching the new route later this year.
The flights will take just under four hours and are due to operate on Fridays with departures to Lanzarote Airport departing weekly from October 25th.
The flights will be operated by Smartwings, using their 737-800 aircraft.
A FlyDirect spokesperson stated, “We have enjoyed another successful series of flights to Tenerife this year and are delighted to not only repeat the programme but also add an exciting new destination for October half-term and November sunshine getaways.”
Ports of Jersey chief executive, Matt Thomas, stated that the new route to Lanzarote is “great news” and will increase Jersey Airport’s total number of European destinations to 16.
