Last year saw 344,000 Irish tourists arrive on Lanzarote, 40% more than ten years ago.
Many holiday destinations are favoured by particular nationalities, but the links between the two islands of Lanzarote and Ireland are likely unmatched anywhere else in Europe.
A small nation of roughly 5 million people now represents Lanzarote’s second-largest tourist market, with 344,246 Irish visitors in 2024.
Irish tourism remained stable throughout last year, with the island receiving 28,000 – 33,000 visitors per month. The highest number of Irish arrivals was recorded in July, when 33,610 arrived to enjoy the sunshine.
