The 39th edition of the FIMC is coming next January, and the organisers have just released the stunning poster and named some of the participating groups

At the start of next year, between the 12th of January and the 12th of February, approximately sixty concerts, eight orchestras, soloists, chamber musicians and others will bring the classical greats to the Canary Islands.

The International Music Festival of the Canary Islands (FIMC) will bring music to all the islands in an edition which will act as debut for several ensembles and musicians.

Among the participating groups are the Kiev Symphony Orchestra, theBBC Philharmonic Orchestra, the Bamberg Symphony, Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Chamber Orchestra of Europe, Chamber Orchestra of Scotland, as well as two groups from the Canaries.

The 39th edition will also return to 100% capacity, “it is going to be a very special edition, with a return to normality, in which we offer a first-class international programme with exceptional soloists. We also want to attract younger audiences, and for this we have introduced cheaper prices”, stated the Canarian Government’s Deputy Culture Minister, Juan Márquez.

The PDF program for the 39th edition is yet to be published.

Tickets & renewals

Two types of Season Tickets will be made available for the concerts to be held in the Auditorio Alfredo Kraus (Gran Canaria) and the Auditorio de Tenerife (Tenerife) – purchasing one season ticket will reduce the total price by 20%, while purchasing both will reduce the total by 30%.

For the Youth Season Ticket, a 50% reduction for one ticket and 60% if both are purchased.

On October 3rd, the option to renew season tickets will remain open until the 21st of the same month. From the 31st of October until the 18th of November, the period to apply for a new season ticket will open.

After that, from Demeber 12th, tickets for all the individual concerts will go on sale to the general public.
