Hiker rescued after falling

A hiker was rescued after falling on the path between Montaña Tinaguache and Montaña Tejida, the volcanoes just north of Costa Teguise,  yesterday.

Emergency services were alerted at 1 pm and firemen located a woman who had fallen and who was complaining of pain in her arm and had suffered scratches on the face.

The victim’s arm was splinted and she was taken to the Dr Jose Molina Orosa Hospital.
