Fraudulent disability parking cards seized in Arrecife

Last year, the Arrecife local police seized ten disability parking cards that were being used by those without disabilities.

As part of the Arrecife local police’s traffic surveillance, they monitor disability parking spaces and denounce vehicles that park there without authorisation as well as those who use illegitimate disability parking cards.

The most prominent use of illegitimate cards detected by the local police is those used by family members or caregivers – used when not accompanied by the card holder. Even worse, some of the cards seized last year belonged to card holders who had died.
