Flamingo Beach in Playa Blanca reopened for swimming yesterday morning, following the confirmation that its water quality meets public health standards.
Yaiza Ayuntamiento lifted the temporary swimming ban after receiving a new report with laboratory results confirming the water is now suitable for bathing. The beach was initially closed on Tuesday this week as a precautionary measure after tests detected residual bacteria in the water.
Since the closure, Yaiza Ayuntamiento have closely monitored the situation, conducting further sampling which has now yielded a positive result.
Swimmers and beachgoers can now safely return to the waters at Flamingo Beach.
