A young man has been jailed for five years for raping a woman in the back seat of a car in Playa Blanca.
The incident occurred on the morning of June 10th, 2018, when the victim was asleep in Gustavo Adolfo Mena’s car. Mena admits to having stopped the car, removed the victim’s clothes and penetrating her while she was unconscious; stopping when he realised she had regained consciousness.
His guilty plea brought a reduction in sentence from the 8 years requested by the prosecution. He is also forbidden from approaching the victim for 10 years. The victim waived the right to financial compensation.
