Five people rescued from sailboat stranded at Isla de Lobos

Salvamento Marítimo rescued five crew members on a sailboat that was stranded at Isla de Lobos between Lanzarote and Fuerteventura.

In the early hours of this morning, the five crew members alerted the rescue centre (CCS) to their situation. Upon arrival, Salvamento Marítimo found that the cause of the issue was that the boats anchor failed, and the sailboat drifted.

The German crew members were in good health when help arrived, and the service was ended 3 hours later after the crew were taken to the César Manrique Airport via helicopter.
