Five pateras arrive with 250 people

Five pateras carrying a total of around 250 people were intercepted around the coasts of Lanzarote this weekend.

The arrival of calm weather and following winds from the southeast encouraged the arrival of boats, which were mostly inflatable Zodiac-type dinghies.

Maritime Rescue escorted the boats to Arrecife’s main port, where the occupants are processed after health checks.
