Famara beach is among the ten finalists for the Best Beach in Spain and The Canary Islands award given by the Condé Nast Traveler magazine. Voting is open now.

The nine other competing beaches are Valdevaqueros (Tarifa), Cala Saona (Formentera), Los Locos (Suances), Cala Fonda (Tarragona), Playa Norte (Peñíscola), Las Catedrales (Ribadeo), Zarautz (Zarautz), Playa de Poo (Llanes) & Calblanque (Cartanega).

Condé Nast Traveler magazine describes Famra beach as “Housed in a humble fishing village, the water current created by the separation between Lanzarote and the islets of the Chinijo archipelago, make this beach, six kilometres long, the perfect setting for water sports, hence in the village of Caleta de Famara there are important surfing and kitesurfing schools. In addition, in 2020 it was awarded as one of the beaches with the best sunsets in Spain, making it a unique location in the country.”
