Today is Canary Day, the day when all eight Canary Islands celebrate their culture on the anniversary of the first sitting of the Canarian Parliament.
It’s an official holiday throughout the islands, so many businesses will be closed, but as it’s not a national holiday, low energy tariffs will not apply.
There’ll be concerts and events taking place all over the island, and you’re liley to see shop assistants and other workers decked out in Canarian costumes.
Have a fantastic holiday!
