A vehicle travelling by boat from Cadiz to Lanzarote has been seized by police. Upon searching, the police found cocaine in a hidden compartment.
As part of an ongoing investigation by the National Police, a car being transported from Cadiz to Arrecife was intercepted along with the men awaiting its arrival.
At the time of arrival, two men aged 31 and 40 were awaiting its arrival. The National Police moved quickly to arrest the two men, and the driver of the vehicle, and seize the car for a search.
Upon searching the vehicle, the police found five packages of cocaine weighing a total of 5,800 grams that were stashed in the rear bumper.
The three detainees’ home were searched, two locations in Arrecife and another in Alcorcón in the mainland. During the searches the police found 600 grams of cocaine, approximately 6000 euros in cash, a revolver with ammunition, two more weapons, two vehicles and jewellery.
The three are now awaiting the following legal proceedings.
