The annual Playa Blanca Christmas Walk will return on Sunday 13th December 2026, with participants invited to take part in an approximately 12km festive route while raising money for the 1st Lanzarote Scouts and collecting donations for several local charities and families in need.

The event will begin at the lighthouse in Playa Blanca, where participants are asked to meet at 11am ahead of an 11.30am start.

The walk will finish at Lani’s restaurant in Marina Rubicón, taking in venues along the route. Each stop will offer participants a free glass of wine, with a couple of venues also providing complimentary snacks.

Participation costs €20 per person, which includes a selection of surprise goodies and free wine at each stop. All proceeds from the event will be donated to the 1st Lanzarote Scouts, with the organisers thanking Yaiza Council for its sponsorship.

As well as raising funds, the Christmas Walk is also encouraging participants to bring donations for three causes.

Requested items include board games and toys for teenagers for Pequenos Valientes, tinned cat and dog food and cat litter for Vida Animal, and non-perishable food, shampoo, soap, toiletries and sanitary pads for Families in Need.

All participants must wear the official Christmas Walk T-shirt during the event. Organisers say this is to help staff identify walkers and promote the event’s sponsors.

This year’s sponsors include Bar Arnea, La Cofradia de Playa Blanca, Waikiki, Finchy Fitness, Lani’s Grill and The Office Bar.

Tickets cost €20 and can be booked online through TicketSource:
