Lanzarote-born UFC fighter Hecher Sosa has become the new brand ambassador for local furniture and sleep specialist Milano Home Factory, in a partnership focused on the importance of rest and recovery.

The agreement will see Sosa represent the Lanzarote-based business throughout the season, bringing together the world of professional sport and the role that a good night’s sleep plays in physical performance and wellbeing.

Milano Home Factory is the retail brand and flagship business of the Lanzarote-based Muebles Milano group, which has more than 50 years of experience in the furniture and sleep sector. The group also operates Colchones en Canarias in Arrecife and Colchones.es in Tías, both specialising in sleep products.

The company said the partnership reflects shared values of perseverance, hard work, dedication and the desire to succeed, qualities it recognises in Sosa’s journey from Lanzarote to the UFC.

Juan Ramón Martín Padrón, manager of Milano Home Factory, said supporting the fighter at this stage of his career was a natural fit.

“He’s made it to the UFC through hard work, without taking any shortcuts and without leaving his island, and that’s exactly what we value and understand as effort and perseverance. Supporting him just as he begins his journey among the world’s elite seemed like the best possible moment to us,” he said.

Under the agreement, Milano Home Factory will support Sosa’s preparation by providing sleep solutions suited to the demands of a professional athlete. The company is the official distributor of Spanish mattress brand Sonpura, alongside other brands specialising in sleep.

Sosa will also feature in Milano Home Factory’s shops and on its social media channels, sharing advice and tips on rest, relaxation and creating a comfortable home.

For the fighter, having the backing of a business from his home island carries particular significance.

“Honestly, it’s a real source of pride, because I always represent Lanzarote through my values, giving it my all to reach the top and represent the people of Lanzarote in the best possible way,” Sosa said.

“Being able to represent such a large company from here is also a source of pride for me, and as I always say, I’ll do it to the best of my ability.”

He also highlighted the importance of sleep as part of his preparation for competition.

“I always say that rest is very important because if you don’t rest well, you can’t perform well. There’s a triangle with three pillars to follow: train well, eat well, and rest well. They have to be in balance because when one fails, they all fail.”

Sosa, who was born in the Los Alonso neighbourhood, secured his place in the UFC in September 2025 after defeating Brazilian Mackson Lee by unanimous decision in the main event of Dana White’s Contender Series.

He is now preparing for his second UFC appearance, which is scheduled for 5 December 2026 in Saudi Arabia, where he will face Finland’s Abdul Hussein in the bantamweight division.

Alongside his professional career, Sosa has continued to support the development of mixed martial arts in Lanzarote through the Guanche Warriors event at the Palacio Municipal de Deportes in Arrecife and training sessions open to the public.

The new agreement gives the fighter the backing of another Lanzarote-based business as he continues his career on the international stage.
