The National Police have arrested a 46-year-old man who arrived on the island on a flight from Madrid with over a kilo of cocaine.
Upon arrival at the Lanzarote Airport, the 46-year-old caught the attention of security who, after a thorough search, would find 86 cocaine acorns which weighed over a kilo.
He was arrested at the airport and is awaiting further legal procedures.
