The Dr José Molina Orosa hospital’s Oncology Department has served over 1,700 patients in its first year in operation.
Lanzarote’s Oncology Department began operation last June, with a team of specialists from the Dr Negrín Hospital visiting regularly to carry out consultations. In December last year the long-awaited radiotherapy bunker was installed, and it meant that Lanzarote-based patients would no longer have to travel to Gran Canaria for courses of treatment.
In it’s first year in operation, the Oncology Department has served 1,747 patients in their successive check-ups after treatment. Additionally, since the installation of the radiotherapy bunker, a total of 137 patients have been treated in a total of 1,519 radiotherapy sessions.
Here at Gazette Life, we can vouch personally for the professional care and friendly attention given at the Oncology Departments on both islands.
